Management Committee Members

Paragon Housing Association is a well-established housing association operating throughout the Forth Valley area. We are looking for people with the right skills, experience and commitment to join our Management Committee to help us continue to move forward in challenging times.

We would like to hear from you if you are interested in delivering good quality housing services, supporting communities and delivering ongoing investment in the housing stock while ensuring the Association is well governed.

Committee members are responsible for providing leadership and setting out the strategic direction. We welcome any skills that people can bring. Skills and backgrounds could include community involvement, HR, finance, equalities, construction, digital skills and more. New ideas are welcome. Previous board/trustee experience is not necessary, and we will support your development in the role.

There are around 10 meetings per year. These are a combination of evening and afternoons/ online and face to face. We provide IT kit. We offer training opportunities. There is a formal induction session and an online induction pack. We aim to take members on a stock tour annually and we promise that your time with us will be well spent. We are members of a number of excellent housing support bodies such as the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, SHARE, TIS and EVH. All offer conferences and training and we encourage members to attend.

Members are volunteers however out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.

We are keen that the membership of our Committee reflects the diversity of our local communities so welcome interest from all sections of the community.

We are planning to host informal chat sessions during April/May for anyone thinking about it - so why not get in touch and find out more about what we do and what the role involves? No obligation and we make good coffee if you come in for a visit!

Our Chair Audrey Anderson says “It’s great working together with others to make things happen. You can really make a difference. Last year we were able to deliver support for our tenants in tough times through our Warm Welcome Home project, started a new development of 17 new homes and more. That can’t happen without committee members taking part to make sure the Association is well run and does the job. We’d love to hear from people who are up for that.”
